Senior management of Silicon Valley bank sold millions of dollars worth of shares in the weeks leading up to the bank collapse. Despite being the 16th largest bank in the United States by balance sheet size, Silicon Valley bank was able to skirt these risk management standards. We're likely to see more regulatory scrutiny of community banks in the US after this scandal.
