The bishop's statement may be politically motivated in the sense that as we're recording this podcast, various states are beginning to pass laws banning so-called transitioning for children. Do you think these political realities are playing into the bishop's decision to issue this document at this time? I suppose so, secondarily, I don't think their primary intention is political.
