Is There a Consumption Tax?

If income tax is avoidable and wealth taxes are problematic, what's left? What about a tax on the things rich people tend to buy, like high value real estate and expensive art? In america, we don't have a consumption tax. Back in 19 90, there was a dozen oisti countries that levied annual wealth taxes. And now there are only four - columbia, norway, spain and switzerland.
