The Importance of Adapting to Different Populations
I think that the advances we've made in bringing contemplative practices to more people as a resource have really happened through skillful adaptation. John Kabat-Zinn, mindfulness-based stress reduction being the most obvious and perhaps most impactful example of that. It's really a work of genius to take these different traditions and repackage them in such a simple way and not lose a sense of authenticity. Embodied pedagogy, active learning, engaged learning, you know, using games, using theater, using activities is what I'm doing right now.
