God's Word Is Shocking

In Matthew 24, Jesus says something that is shocking just by way of context. He tells His disciples he's on his way to Jerusalem where I'm going to be arrested, tried, executed, buried, and then raised from the dead. That didn't really shock the disciples because it just went right over their head. They just didn't get it at all. And you know what? God's word is shocking. It should be penetrating. So if it isn't to you, that's not a great thing.
