Well, I Laughed

CHAPTER

The History of the Yahhi People

In 19 0 8 there were only four remaining Yahhi people in the territory and they were spotted by some surveyors but were not seen again despite efforts to find them. Yishhi was found alone and near starving by a butcher in Oraville in North California. He was given a home at the University of California's Anthropology Museum where he was studied by anthropologists for his native crafts. Unfortunately because he was uncontacted he was sick a lot and hospitalized many times between 1911 and 1916 everything from respiratory infections, bronchonomonia, various body pains and then tuberculosis. So he did die on March of 1916 due to tuberculosis.
