Pay Before You Pump

During summer breaks from college I'd work the night shifts to earn a few extra bucks and beer money. The solitude gave me a chance to either smoke up or read books whenever I wasn't cleaning or cycling stock. Most customers see the pay before you pump sign and just walk inside right away. But this dude was screwing around with the pump trying to get it to work, obviously drunk out of his skull. "I could see sections of this guy's skull from what looked like repeated strikes from a blunt object"
