Pancreatic Pancreatitis - What's the Difference?
The hormones produced by the pancreatic is let's are secreted directly into the blood flow, which makes it a bit different from other hormones. Alpha cells secrete a peptide hormone called glucagon, whereas beta cells secrete insulin. Both of these hormones are regulated by blood glucose levels and they sort of stimulate opposite responses.
