When we approach the bible, i like think of it as reading sympathetically with the authors. So trying on that viewpoint of this is a unified and coherent story, even if i can't see it. That's where the evidence points, because that's how design patterns seem to be working,. An intertextuality in this overarching story line. And so yet, when you can'tsee it, it's helpful to read sympathetically and ask oket, curiously and with wonder, hatcould the author be doing here?
