The Importance of Studying the Bible

In the ancient Near East they had a cyclical view of history which is everything that's happened has happened before and will happen again. Despair is a spiritual disease because it is what happens when you come to believe that all that's happening from here on out is a repeat of this. The antidote to despair is a disruption where oh wait tomorrow is not going to be a repeat of today.
