Do You Hear Some Kind of Rhythm in Your Head?
I'm writing a biography now of Phoebe Hurst. A sentence pops into my head about how I, you know, when I'm trying to construct a certain scene from her life and other. That's the key to everything that sentence. Not only the content, but the way it sounds. So anyway, my process generally was I began as a poet. So I began with sound because poetry is all about sound. And then I moved to nonfiction and I've written some fiction too.
