How to Call a Code Stroke on a Weak and Dizzy Patient

You're talking severe disabling symptoms within 24 hours of last-seen normal time. The current thinking with wake up strokes is that you can assume that the stroke happened about an hour or two before they woke up. We think that because of the way that cortisol varies diurnally and blood pressure varies, some literature suggests that a lot of wake up strokes are actually happening within anhour or two waking up.
