The Difference Between Clinical and Subclinical Narcissism

Narcissism is a trait that involves brandiosity and a lack of empathy. There's no real difference between what's subclinical and clinical, it's really just a matter of extremes and inflexibility of the trait. In terms of the names, you can call people high in narcissism or you can call them narcissists. It doesn't mean somebody who's been diagnosed with having a personality disorder.
