What Is the Difference Between Fruit and Smoothy?

Fruit that we eat to day is actually not natural. It has been bred for centuries of millennia by humans to be extra sweet, extra juicy and give us extra pleasure when we eat it. A piece of whole fruit is still the best thing to eat because it contains fibre. And fibre is protective. So yes, there is sugar in the fruit, but because the whole fruit also comes with thits protective fibre, you don't absorb it as quickly. The problem when we juice an orange, for example, is that as we juice it, we're removing all the fibre. As you smoothy it, you're pulverizing it into much smaller particles that can't do their job
