The Common Good and the Common Good
I think there's a kind of faint fear by virtue of our training as human beings in the particular good, contrary to the common good that he won't wholly be mine if he is everyone else's. We will participate in the common good as the unique individual we are. And so they can be participated in an enormous number of different ways which aren't competitive. The typical sin of professors is envy. I mean, you don't come with theology, professor, I mean, God, I'm not that stupid. But envy. Guess what I fight with. There'll be no envy. It'll be a world without with a delight in the one good, the good itself and through it
