How Do You Solve Crossword Puzzles?
For almost all puzzles, you start backwards. You know what the final answer is in the final form. A lot of people ask in crosswords, do you write the clues first, or the grid? And crossword constructors always laugh, because obviously you write the grid first. It doesn't make any sense. But you definitely use tricks when you're like, oh, i see where this is going as you go along. I find if i'm thinking as a constructor while i'm solving, i'm thinking one step ahead of where i am solving to try to see where the thing is going. Not at all.
