What Did You Learn at Amherst?
At Amherst, you were a philosophy major. You wanted to be a New Testament scholar. But it was actually Bob Gundry who said the evangelical world has enough New Testament scholars at this point. He thought I could deploy my gifts more effectively elsewhere. So that's my designated vocation unless I'm led in another direction.
