I have personally had the experience where I went a little bit too hog wild on carbs before my last marathon and I had some stomach distress. So would you recommend focusing on just a balance of the two, a little bit over-indexing on complex carbohydrates or how do you think about that balance? Usually I recommend starting with some sort of carbohydrate and that can be like a grain like rice or quinoa. Those are probably my favorite sweet potato can go in there too.
