In Minnesota, we fancied ourselves special. We also prided ourselves on being very left leaning in almost every election for the last 100 years. For people who only know the coasts, where would you recommend that they go? Is it a road-tripping region of the country? Well, at least when I was growing up, it very much was. When I moved to New York, I was fascinated to find that so many New Yorkers had only been to six states.
