Anatomy: A Coming of Age Story
When I started writing Anatomy, I didn't think it was either a young adult or an adult novel. The character is 17 because that was the age that a young woman would be at this point in her life when she has to make these decisions about what is my life going to look like. It was sort of a post-development decision to market it as YA. And fortunately we now live in a culture where adults read YA and it's not a clear line.
