How Much Attention Do Nominators Pay?
Nobe voters handed out awards 19 o one 19 66, more in the style of a private members club than a broad survey of expert opinion. Nominees who were nominated by previous winners s went on to win at some point forty % more often than people who had never won a nobal prize. In literature and medicine, the candidate who got the most nominations won just over ten percent of the time. Only in physics, at forty two% did nomination leaders enjoy a large advantage.
