The Body as Material Culture
The study of organic remains from sites especially refers to human remains. They can tell you an insane amount about a person's life because bone is plastic. It remolds itself and remodels itself in response to stresses. If the bones are well-preserved enough, you can tell did somebody spend a lot of time squatting or bending over a plow? The Body As Material Culture says culture expresses itself in actions that we do habitually. Those actions logically express themselves in patterns of wear and use on bone.
