He says it's dominated by the United States, which uses this system in order to advance its geopolitical and economic interests. The Bretton Woods institutions that is largely the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank have their origins in European colonialism toward the end of the European empires in World War II. And functionally today, they play a very similar role as kind of neo colonial institutions.
