The Death of Elizabeth the Great
After her husband's death, Elizabeth was said to be extremely upset and turned more violent. She also became more careless at this time and was leaving more evidence of her crimes. It's said that a body was buried close to the surface and washed away during the rain. The excuse for the smell was that some of Elizabeth's pets had died. Nobody in the castle knew of her having any pets.
