There are three regions. The receptor binding domain, the furin cleavage site and this protein, eighth from the left called ORF-8. This protein goes into the bloodstream and suppresses interfering response to your asymptomatic and suppresses H-C antigen presentation so you can't make good antibodies. I have found no Western scientists that worked on this location in the genome before 2019. And the protein is not present in MERS. It has a 5% homology in Sars-1, between SARS-1 and SARS-2.
