I think if there was an overwhelming identity politics slant to what fundamentally people on the left are trying to achieve, then it seems like you're not seeing it from your position at least. And i do think that these things do exist. O union steel workers in michigan who mostly vote for democrats and consider themselves to be on the left - they represent democratization of the work place. They want benefits and a fair wage and collective bargaining. So, so it really depends on
