The Evolution of Sperm Whales

Sperm whales eat a lot of things, but one thing they do is they dive to great depths to snack on some juicy calamari or the giant squid. And this is Arcotethis ducks. So now we have the unbroken female lines of humans, whales and squids down. But won't somebody please think of the men? We've talked about why mitochondrial DNA is such an effective way to trace ancestry through the female line. But actually, the male line does have an equivalent. This is the much less catchily named Y chromosome or Adam.
