In many ways the film's clearest expressionist element. Oll yannings as mephistopheles in faust, or a rudolph klin rogue as a rot twang in metropolis. Alexander granich playing knock he's acting up the grotesque and acting up an absolute storm. It is very, very entertaining. I think having knockers like the rogue element te sort of rampaging it, as compared to the relative containment of nosterato, i think it's very, very effective.
