How Perceptions Affect Inequalities

Is it more important how people perceive inequality than the actual levels of economic inequality we have? The research doesn't speak to the importance of perceptions over m existing inequality. How you feel about whether resources should be distributed unequally in society, on the basis of groups er on beg determinent if that is going to b your own group membership. Your own social interests will really matter, as one might expect. And broader society factors also matter, how many resources there are in the environment.
