Feminists dislike the co dependency label, because they see it as sexes and prajoritive against women. It's often given to women or mothers who are in relationships with men who suffer from substance abuse. And so there's also only one psychometric index of co dependency out there, psycho metric. But even the authors of this index have stated that there are several limitations with the tool.
