The Effects of Beta Blockers on PTSD

Many clinical trials failed because they didn't quite understand that you do need the beta adrenergic receptor occupied by neuropinephrine when you are learning something new. Serotonergic receptors out there at the distal dendrites where our cortex is talking to each other, those are the ones that actually help dampen the effect of that on our response to the world outside. But I would also suggest that maybe antidepressants should be stopped when we want to go to sleep because we need serotonin to be off in order to rebalance our system at night.
