Identifying Demeanor
We typically assess threats via hands, but also demeanor. Demeanor is how we measure behavior in non verbal communication. So if i'm trying to identify a guy with a gun, and I assess his demeanor, and he's his uh brow is crunched up, and he looks neurotic in his eyes, then that could be potentially a threat. Well, if he was an immediate threat, then yes. If it's an imminent threat, meaning he hasn't yet made the decision to point the gun at me, then i have to decide.
