Naili Kobo is co-founder of People Not Postos, which translates to People Not Oil Welles. Los Angeles has the largest urban oil field in the nation. She led an effort to shut down a well that took a devastating toll on both her and her community. Her efforts didn't just get that one local well shut down. They led to the phase down of oil extraction in all of L.A. County.
