In stage number two, which is what this thinker calls a formal or institutional faith. The majority of church going older children through adulthood get stuck in the conformist phase. These folks are very attached to right beliefs and dogmatic about rules. They don't necessarily feel connected at a deep and profound level with themselves as sort of gods in embryo.
