Crime and Fraud on the Rise in England and Wales
New figures released this week by the office for statistics show that fraud is on the increase, and so much so it's led to an overall rise in crime. There were just under ten thousand incidents of fraud orted to police in scotland in the 20 18 19 financial year. That jumped up by 50 % in the same period in two years later. And if you took fraud and computer misuse out of the overall crime figures, they actually go down. The home secretary pretty patell says it's because the home office has toughened laws.
