The Effects of Lead Poisoning on a Condor
Lead poisoning is the number one factor for condors' decline. The birds were found near waterways, and they had such huge crops that it looked like they'd gorged themselves. It wasn't because they'd overeaten but due to lead poisoning. And so we've been monitoring these birds since 19 years ago - 96 of them are still alive today.
