When I was writing the anxiety opportunity, I tried to keep in mind a like imaginary person that I was writing to. They just felt like the answers they were given by the church left them with feeling of stuckness. That's who I was imagining. And then I think I also was a lot of, I haven't really thought about this until lately, but a lot of what I do in terms of writing is time traveling, talking to myself.
Our good friend and partner in The After Party project, Russell Moore, joins us to talk about his new book, “Losing Our Religion: An Altar Call for Evangelical America.” Curtis and Russell talk about why “mapping” our loss is critical for those who currently feel culturally, politically, or spiritually homeless. We explore two kinds of maps - the “treasure map” and the “minefield map” - and why Christians need both.
