Is Horace a Freedman?
We prod a little at this freedman idea before we got a freedman, which implies that he was a slave. Was he a sort of full time slave, pa time slave, or an accident a slave, or a slave at all? What do you think? I suppose thiss this is referring to the possibility that his father was enslaved when the southern towns were involved the social war. But as e once freed, he made his way as an auctioneerand made quite a lot of money, and was able to send his son for a good education.
