The king put beniah, the son of jehoiada over the army and place of joab. Then he sent shimii to build himself a house in jerusalem and dwell there. But it happened at the end of three years that two of shimii's slaves ran away to akshish,. And when solomon was told that shimii had gone from jerusalem to gath and returned, the king sent and summoned shimii again. He said: "Know for certain that on theday you go forth and cross the brook kidron, know for certain that you shall die"
