In february of 19 36, 200 and forty six thousand new yorkers would be employed by the w p a. And to be clear, the city is actually putting up some of the money too. He was also irked that he would have to d a w p a sign on these projects. He thought that it was kind of like propaganda for the federal government. Did he want his face, a picture of his face, on everything? What? I think he just, he wanted these projects to reflect the city, not like a federal, federal government largs,. But he would also use other programmes like the p w a, which allowed for federal grants and federal loans
