The Conflicted Set of Feelings That Make Consumers Suspect of AI

One of the things that makes consumers suspicious of AI is because it's hard to understand how the decisions are being made. To some extent, for example, when we say that they are black boxes and we don't understand how they work internally, to some extent what we mean is you can think of them as these giant machines with many knobs, okay? And we understand how the knobs are adjusted. We really understand how we adjust the knobs. The problem is because there are so many knobs in the systems.
