Can a Black Hole Form a Star?

X-ray telescope data shows rises in X-ray emissions as this hot gas enters the accretion disk. People are pretty convinced that this was a star getting eaten by a black hole. But we don't have cool images of that. Something out there had a star pasta for dinner.
