The Limitations of Vedic Philosophy

In some ways you're holding Indian philosophy to a standard that we haven't been holding Western philosophy to. In the Indian case, as I said, the scriptures that they're working with are already quite philosophical in their character. The very style of philosophizing through commentary means that you're always not only taking ideas out of the text, but developing them and often even just changing them.
