The English Long Bowmen in the Hundred Years War

In 13 forty six, england was engaged in another war over the french throne. The english levied as many men as they could instead of calling forward their best trained knights. They armed them with long bows which were much more powerful than ordinary bows and arrows. By the end of the battle at crecy about half of the french nobility had been killed. Another similar battle happens generations later at agencourt. The the English inflict another similar defeat on the frenchso apparently french didn't learn their lesson.
