Introduction
The bison never saw the group of hunters creeping toward them from the north, downwind. They fanned out, crawling slowly through the tall grass, flint tipped throwing spears clutched in their hands. The herd did what their instincts told them to do: Run. But more spears waited for them as they entered the arroyo. It was a trap, but the bison couldn't stop.
