The Wishbone of a Chicken

The wishbone is something you take out early in the butchery process of a chicken. It's going to have a symbolic quality that might be lacking in other easily plucked pieces of the skeletol system. The custom surrounding the wishbone may be as old as the etruscans in what is now called tuscany or orumbria. And then from the romans, we we would see it entering into european and british culture. That would have been transplanted to the new world during the age of transatlantic colonization.
