The Importance of Worshiping God
The temple is essential because God's presence would abide there. In chapter 7, Solomon finishes the house of the Lord and his own house, the king's house. The Lord appears to him once again in the way that he had appeared to him before saying, ask me anything and I'll give it to you. But if you turn aside and forsake my commandments and statutes and go and serve other gods and worship them, then I will pluck you from the land.
