The Importance of Hard Steps in Life on Earth

In our simple Grabaleons model, we make the simplest assumption that life on Earth started on Earth and had no ancestors before that. The chance that anyone would have originated that close is crazy low because they appear once per million galaxies. But we can modify that model in a plausible way to make a correlation. So, aliens could be siblings. That is, we could have had a common origin, a previous planet before Earth - there was plenty of time for that.
