Brendan O'Neill says affirmative action policies tend to favor already wealthy highly educated sections of the black population in the u.s. He argues that diversity can be used as a tool by the rich to kind of keep that going. The U.S. has a far less organized working class than almost anywhere in Europe or Latin America, he adds.
