Several kings were simultaneously occupying positions in Gandhara, the Swat and Taksila. The Heliodorus pillar confirms that Antialkidos I ruled in Taksila just before the end of the second century. We also know that he minted coins that display an iconographic blend of the Olympian Zeus and the Hindu Indra. It is very possible that AntialKidos was trying to gather the support of the Indian population and kingdoms to bolster his rule.
